Welcome to Capel-Y-FFin, a typeface named after Eric Gill’s Welsh workplace. It is designed to resemble Gill Sans; it includes a full character set, punctuation, and some diacriticals. Gill Sans is the most beautiful sans-serif face everdesigned,as far as I’m concerned. My version is not the equal of commercial versions, but it beats doing without by a long shot.
The shareware fee is a scant $5. (Actually, any kind of $5 will do.) If there is sufficient shareware response, I will devise a Capel-Y-Ffin Italic, but right now I’m tired of working on type. Not tired of looking at Gill Sans, but tired of Beziers and control points.
I am releasing this package to America Online only. You may upload this package to other bulletin boards and user groups, pass it out to your friends, so long as the package includes this shareware notice and no fee greater than $5 is charged for the “copying fee.”
